An element is a substance that cannot be broken down into smaller particles. Join me as I take you on a journey through the atom, looking at the protons, neutrons and Electrons.
This journey then goes into topics like Chemical Reactions, Covalent and Ionic Bonds and the pH of different substances. By looking at the pH, we are able to determine if a substance is an acid or a base.
This is section 6.1 in the book “Biology: The Dynamics of Life”.
Leslie, you sound fantastic in real life! It gladdens my heart to listen to you interacting with the students. I posted my earlier comment on your video on the Thalamus and hypothalamus before listening to this. While those videos do you justice as a direct teacher for the virtual community, these show your true colors. I hope this video inspires younger teachers!
May God (Whatever you conceive Him to be) Grace you with his presence always.
Thank you so much for your comment. Glad to know that you are enjoying the videos.
Blessings to you too (I think we serve the same God) 😉
You are a God send, I could not have passed my nursing entrance exam with out you. I thank you and God bless
You are my hero!! I’m a lateral entry teacher who was hired 3 weeks before school started (this week) – I LOVE love love your style (very similar to mine) & have enjoyed using your presentations. My students have reacted well to them as well. I was even able to incorporate the idea of “being resourceful” by explaining that your logo was on each slide b/c instead of starting from scratch, I found an available resource and used it. Thank you SO much for sharing your passion!
This will help me with my studies. Thank you Lesile.
i wish you were my teacher , the world need teacher like you
I teach at three community colleges in southern California and we cannot use your videos because they are not close captioned which is a law here. The YouTube captioner is not nearly accurate enough to comply with the law. Do you have plans to caption?
That’s interesting. I hadn’t heard of that. That’s something I can look into.
I appreciate your cheerful giving to the community, this is a lesson I have learned, you don’t have to give millions of dollars to help someone in need. God Almighty would bless you and your children to the forth generation. I thank God for Your Parents and Mentors. I had C+ , but I need at least B in Physiology. I am taking it again. I was never into science but I find it interesting. Thank you Leslie and friends.
